Time is of the Essence…

Time is of the Essence…

As an aesthetician, I am often asked: What is your skin care regimen? What are your favorite products? When are you starting a blog? (I am so glad I had the other PGG’s to collaborate with so I could bring a beauty section to life!) I constantly have my eyes and ears open on trends and products. Last year, I had been hearing and reading a lot about the Korean 10 Step routine that women have been doing for generations (more to come in another post).  While it’s nothing new, it was new to me. After I cross referenced my routine with the 10 Step program, I realized the only component I was missing was “Essence.” Essence is not a brand name, rather a type of product that is intended to reduce fine lines and improve skin tone. It has often been proclaimed as “a miracle water that hydrates, restores, rejuvenates, and gives you a glowing complexion.” After researching price and comparing quality amongst brands, (Essence can be pricey – some well over $100 a bottle) I decided to try the highly rated and affordable Essence by “Missha,” and I am obsessed! It is meant to be used after cleansing and toning but before serum and moisturizer by applying with your hands (not with a cotton ball) and working the product into your skin. My friends, with religious use every day, I can confidently say it definitely does what it claims. The First Treatment Essence has been, by far, the biggest game changer in my skin care routine. With active ingredients that promote faster cell turnover rate and rejuvenation, it is my favorite wonder product!

You can purchase off their website at Misshaus.com  or on Amazon as I did. Whether you already have a lengthy routine, use just a cleanser and moisturizer, or have no defined routine and are looking to start one, Essence is for you!

Happy Hydrating!

I’m checking it out. I’m always looking for new skin products!

Some of us girls talked about it this week so I’m so glad you blogged this, definitely buying it today! Does that line also have a toner? Only thing I’ll be missing at this point…

      Hi Tara,
This company does make toners but I have not tried them. We are a HUGE fans of Evan Healy products, particularly their Hydosoul Toners (Rose Geranium is my favorite!) You can find it at Whole Foods or online at http://www.evanhealy.com It does not contain alcohol or other drying ingredients which are a no-no for toners! Its all about balancing and hydrating the skin, not stripping it. Check the blog often for more info on Evan Healy and all my other favorite brands and products in future posts!
